"Singapura negara ku" @ 11:27 AM
Aha! wad a bright but looong Saturday! well, kinda, at least from 2PM onwards! Back on the 9th, its time to wake up early, early. Well, there was this wedding of brother Hafiz, one of our past facilitators and friend from SAFF, so me and the dua bagedils Irsyad and Amin had to wake up early to catch his wedding. Upon reaching masjid Al-Amin.. ish! we had to take out shoes?! Then we get to see the pengantin, and then I get to chill with some of the members! quite a "reunion" ah. oh, oh! And the best, I get to eat a very nice nasi briyani! woohoo! Then though, I had to leave becos I gotta meet my abang soon! And I havent even bought a stupid red shirt! So we left early and searched shop after shop at vivo, only to give up last minute.. or did i? After they both left, i headed for harbourfront and bought at bossini these two polos.. gah! expensive! but i didn't care; i didn't have much time left!
After that, i rushed to city hall to meet my abang. like finally ah we reached. its a pity mom and abang atep tak ikut too.. we had to hang around to wait for kakak.. oh! since we had time to burn, there was this young mini olympics thingy by AIBI.. then hakim was very reluctant, but we persuaded hard.. finally, he entered. haish, dah penat, lari pun salah.. haha! and guess what? he get to do 0.5km in 5 minutes on the treadmill.. lol! And he cheated doing sit ups! used hand muscle! hua hua. though in the end, he earned himself some AIBI freebie.. wad a letdown! Then when my sis *finally* came, with her friend/relative and little girl, sofena (gahaha super cute little girl), we headed for Esplanade.. only to be surrounded by countless people, especially indians! like really, really alot of indians there watching the performance! and with people there pouring like ants.. pengsan! haha. But alhamdulillah, in the end we found a small spot, barely enough for all of us to sit down. And then unfortunately it started to drizzle. oh nose! but hey, i managed to sneak up a few pictures!
oh, so i got so excited waiting for the fireworks that i msged *a person* to wait for it! haha, when it came, holy kemoany, it was directly right in front of us, popping like super firecrackers! everybody in the area stood up, many with handphones and cameras flashing non-stop. imagine our delight, we were so overjoyed!! finally after that, we headed back.. to eat! at ayam penyet house! seeedap. really, i've been there before, if there's time (i hope).. i shall invite my friends someday to have dinner there too :) and finally, after a satisfying meal, we went home.. tadah!
And sorry to the three kecohs for refusing to watch a movie yesterday.. i wanna catch the NDP repeat telecast.. maybe some other time, k? :)
