"weeks worth; lasting memories" @ 6:21 PM
Wazzup!! I'm back, you punks of peeps!! So roughly three weeks have passed since the trip to Kumamoto, Japan. I know, i know- I've been too lazy to blog!! haha. And now cheryl the cherry's chasing me to do it!! So, here we go.

Many events happened. But I have to point out two obvious ones: The Japanese Student Exchange trip and the Mentor Training Camp '08. Lemme start with the former!!

Man, I gotta tell you. It was definitely a week well spent!! It may have cost me nearly a bomb to visit Kumamoto, but the times spent there.. definitely priceless!! The culture, the scenery, the people!! I can only rave on and on. Aite, now lemme summarize the whole trip.

Day 1: Arrive at Kumamoto!

We boarded the Singapore Airlines plane, dubbed SQ656. My, my!! 6 crazy hours from Singapore to Fukuoka, Japan!! And to make it worse, I could not sleep at all throughout the night.. I just had to close my eyes. After a painful six hour bonanza, we finally reached the airport. And they were waiting outside!! They? Our Japanese buddies I meant!! haha.

This time, instead of Kunie, I was paired up with Yuusuke. I was abit disappointed to not be paired up with him, but I'm eager to meet my new buddy anyway!! We checked in at Toyoko Inn and came back to KNCT for some ice-breaking. After early dinner, we're off to a tour around KNCT and finally back to the hotel!! Not to mention rounding the nearby streets before returning back home.

Day 2: Cultural Exchange

So now to more serious stuff. Well not really serious lar, but mendak. The culture exchange. Oh, wait.. most of the presentations weren't really as mendak as expected. But I had to present 2 freakin presentations!! First of it being my MP project, and second being the Malay culture presentation. Though at first, my Zen almost failed at me!! It kept hanging!! Sigh. But finally, after numerous resets, it worked normally. I think we breezed thru both of them. Diyana, Suhail, Shahrir, Asyrani and me.. we all did it, with our baju kurung & kebaya!! haha. Dengan semangatnya!! ;D

After all these, it's the Japanese's turn to showcase their stuffs in campus. There were many!! But then, the most painful had to be the tea ceremony.. seriously, it'll kill your legs!! But my favourites were the Takeruma, this bamboo pole you have to step around and walk on, and this Japanese gasing!! haha. I got one as a gift from Yuusuke!! ;P Domo arigatou gozaimasu yuusuke!!

Sigh. Up to this day, I thought everything that happened was a dream. The plane ride, the cold weather, the tram rides, our friends.. A long dream. And that, I wanted to "dream" again. But as Singaporeans we are, we gotta move on.
