"NDP; the last" @ 11:30 PM
This year'll be the last NDP for the stadium. It's gonna be brought down and a new (and hopefully better) stadium will be built.. Not sure how long, probably 2-3 years. I'm blogging about events happening yesterday..
Well, so I woke up slightly late and looked at the timing for Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. 11AM. And by the time I checked it, it was about 9am. Drats, we took our time obviously.. And went to Century Square at 11.05AM.. Only to find out that I checked the wrong timings for the wrong cinema! Wahaha. So we headed to Tamp. Mall instead. Movie starts at 11.10AM, we bought tix at 11.20AM. Great, rushing with popcorns and stuff. Luckily the movie just started when we enter. GV is well known for ads before a movie anyway.. Ahaha. Very nice movie, slow pickup.. but gets nicer and nicer towards the end!
Then rushed home so that our whole family can go out together to see NDP outside the stadium, all thinking that there's a big screen. Well, not! There's no big screen when we got there. I was desperate for one, searching hi and lo for it until I finally gave up in the end. Got bored halfway and smsed Nas.. quite surprised that she returned me with a call sometime later. When the barrels were fired it was freakin loud, but fun. You can feel the shot thumping your heart. 'Boom.' And then we saw the parachuters... Good view. But the finale was the best. A cake is never complete without the icing.
So came the fireworks! Very nice and well done. However it felt somewhat short. I managed to record two clips, but I accidently deleted the last clip... sigh. Got so excited seeing the fireworks that I didn't smell that fuggin smelly toilet smell near our area. We all went home like ants; with Traffic Police in charge of traffic, lots of us citizens stormed to Kallang MRT, while me family went home by bus. Crowded like fug. But we went home safely.
